Buransi (Pauri Garhwal)

“Pauri Garhwal ” is one of the most beautiful destination in UTTRAKHAND for Tourist Purpose. Popular in Tourist for short period ( week end ) visit & comfortable journey. Although people are visiting whole year, but July & august can be avoided, because mansoon start in the first week of July & in hilly areas, there is problem of land sliding.

Places to Visit in Pauri Garhwal
Pauri Garhwal is perched at an altitude of 1830 meters on the northern slopes of Kandoliya hills. The peaceful resort affords a fine view of the snow Himalayan peaks.

Kandoliya (2 kms): The temple dedicated to Kandoliya Devta, a folk deity is located on the Lansdowne road amidst scenic surroundings.
Chaukhamba Viewpoint (4 kms): The ridge overlooks the splendid Idwal valley and Chaukhamba Peak.

Bunkhal Kalinka Devi Temple: (Pabou -Paithani) Bunkhal Kalinga Mela is a famous fair celebrated at Bunkhal in Pauri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. This event is held during the ‘Shukla Paksh’ (bright half) in the Hindu month of Margashirsh (November-December). It is dedicated to Goddess Kalinga.

Buda Bharsaar (Near Buransi):  Buda Bharsaar temple in Parui Garhwal is an age old temple that is located on the top of hill. This temple is the temple of nature created is called.
It is about 20 kms from Noutha, And near by Buransi & Dhulet village.

Jagteshwar Mahadev : Most of the shrines are dedicated to Shiva, who is addressed by diverse names.
Around Pauri
Khirsu (19 kms): The serene site at a height of 1,700 meters affords a fine view of the snow-clad mountains. The ancient temple of Ghandiyal Devta is worth visiting. Located nearby are oak and deodar forests and apple orchards.

Jwalpa Devi Temple (34 kms): The pilgrim site lies on the main Pauri Kotdwar road. During 'Navaratras', a special festival is held here which is attended by large number of devotees

Tarakund: The charming site has a small lake and an ancient temple. It is also known for the Teej Festival.

Kotdwar : Kotdwar 108 kms from Pauri is one of the rail terminus for Garhwal region.

Siddhibali Temple: Famous temple of Lord Hanuman.

Lansdowne: Lovely Lansdowne, set at an altitude of 1,706 meters about 81 kms from Pauri is one of the quietest hill station in the country. It was very popular among the Britishers and is named after Lord Lansdowne, the Viceroy of India from 1888 to 1894. The charming resort surrounded by Lans Castle and pine forest is a perfect place for a peaceful holiday in the lap of mother nature. More about Lansdowne

Srinagar: This erstwhile capital of the Garhwal kings is set on the banks of Alaknanda river about 30 kms from Pauri. Srinagar was an important centre for art and architecture. The Garhwal University is located here.

Buransi it's my hometown

Buransi Gaon Only 300 families constitues this village and the overall population (those who stay in village) is about 1000. The village population mainly consists of women, old aged and the children. Most of the youth and men have migrated to the cities for education or employment.

Once you come to this wonderful place, you definitely don’t want to go back.
